February was my fifth month into doing blind reactions and I enjoyed this one because it aligned with Valentine’s Day. As it would turn out, I would do a blind reaction for one song that had the perfect theme with Eliza May’s song, “Candy Heart.” In all, there were only 4 blind reaction videos but they were all so very good, the quality made up for the quantity in this short month.

1.Candy Heart by Eliza May

Leading off February, Eliza May and her music video for Candy Heart set a perfect scene for a Valentine’s Day feature as this sweet little love song had fantastic production value, quality music, a cute setting in the UK, and once again, this is another artist that knows how to use color contrast in a very artistic, very meaningful way. The baked goods with the different color backdrops were very cool. Candy Heart premiered on July 21st, 2022 and has over 1,000 views. https://youtu.be/b3j54TFRs8I?si=um6ssPQbBWphwOO5

2.Maze by MYRY

MYRY is another British artist who has a very good pop rock/pop R&B sound. She’s an interesting one to watch as her music is really starting to take off. Currently, she has a monthly average of more than 60,000 listeners on Spotify and Maze, a music video that premiered in June of 2024, already has over 200,000 views. Her YouTube channel also has nearly 30,000 subscribers! https://youtu.be/z3soVTQjtAM?si=MZK8Tkud32TLTyKr

3.Brass Box by The Sleeping Cliffs

The Sleeping Cliffs is an artist I have been keenly aware of for about a year now, even before starting Fifteen Minutes of Fame as it is known today. The music he releases is rock but he is very experimental as he has to be because he is in instrumental only artist. Brass Box does not disappoint musically, and the music video provides the perfect visual representation. Brass Box premiered in February of 2024 and has nearly 3,000 views. https://youtu.be/_H0gyGzbKQo?si=UKDxEA8GweMJTfWC

4.Misogyny by Jodie Lo

The thing I love about this music video is the message. Jodie Lo has very pointedly addressed the disrespect women receive socially. This isn’t a culture problem. This isn’t a geographical problem. This is a problem everywhere with everyone. I don’t think we appreciate the severity of this. I know we don’t in America because we elect politicians who are deplorable people who have said and done terrible things – even been convicted of hurting women. We celebrate these terrible people with thunderous applause. The more people like Jodie Lo standing up to these bullies and deviants, the better. Misogyny released in January of 2025 and has nearly 500 views in just 2 months! https://youtu.be/uK7PFW0mlMk?si=EAKWCOqpAeNS_mgH

Final Thoughts

It was a short month and there were not a lot of music videos reviewed to represent the month, but these videos were some of the best I have been able to review in the short time I’ve been posting these videos.
