Fifteen Minutes of Fame Music Entertainment

What a month! July really was a surreal one for me here at Fifteen Minutes of Fame.

First, thank you to everybody who had taken the time to watch Fifteen Minutes. This has easily been one of my most well received videos on YouTube to date, with views as well as reactions and responses. I really appreciate it. If you haven’t seen it yet, here it is:

Fifteen Minutes of Fame didn’t let the anniversary celebration slow things down too much as we continued to publish new reviews, Blind Reactions, and we conducted two interviews last month!

What Happened in July?

Well, as we have already discussed, July started off with the first ever premiere for Fifteen Minutes of Fame on YouTube, which was an absolute success! Special shoutout to Neccos Records and other members of CAN! who showed up in support and a special thank you to all of the incredible artists who helped with the production of the film by providing interviews, clips, and even music to support Fifteen Minutes.

July Campaign

July saw 13 new publications, with 8 new reviews, 5 new Spotlight articles, and 3 new Blind Reaction videos! In all, we covered 25 artists around the world, with recaps of some of our favorite and most influential artists to discovering new music in familiar places. We also had the privilege of covering new artists in places we haven’t been before as we featured artists from two new US States; Connecticut and Nevada, as well as featuring artists from three new countries; Hungary, Italy, and Scotland. That puts Fifteen Minutes of Fame in nearly 70% of the US with 34 States, and now we have featured artists in 23 countries across 5 continents.

Growth

As we expand to more places, covering more artists, and as we become more and more integrated with CAN, our Social Media platforms continue to show growth! We officially broke over 1,000 followers on Instagram, we are right at 1,500 followers on Threads, YouTube jumped to 120 Subscribers and we hit 900 on Tik Tok! We are now approaching 4,000 followers across all social media platforms.

We’re not only growing, more and more people are beginning to take notice every single day! Our platforms were viewed over 30,000 times in July, with thousands of likes, comments, shares, and other interactions. That is engagement with YOUR music. YOUR content. That is 30,000 people showing an interest in independent artists over mainstream artists-even if for just a moment!

This week, Dan (Neccos for Breakfast) and I, had the chance to sit down with Steve (Impulse 9) to discuss the release of his debut album.

Fifteen Minutes of Fame was built on many ideas, one of them being that everybody has a story to tell. When you pass people by on the street, you’re passing stories.

Interview with Elly Kace

Earlier this month, I sat down with one of FMOF’s favorite artists, Elly Kace. Elly was one of the first artists reviewed by Fifteen Minutes of Fame last year. She has completed a NEW ALBUM and we have a very special FOUR PART review that we will be rolling out to you over the next few months, until release day! Part One will be premiering on YouTube Thursday Night, ahead of the Friday release of her third single, Body. You don’t want to miss it!

Looking Ahead

As always, Independent Artists will be at the forefront of what we do with Fifteen Minutes of Fame. That is why the focus will be on writing reviews, recaps, and spotlights. It will be on Blind Reactions. It’s a little crazy to think, but article 200 is just around the corner. We are projected to hit that number before the year is out.

For reviews, if you’ve released music on or after July 1st, or you’re planning on dropping something in August, submit your music! If you’ve filmed a music video and it follows our three rules: no live recorded performance, no AI, and no lyric videos, and it was released in the year 2025, submit your video!

Reviews, Blind Reactions, Interviews, and any and all other promotions for independent artists will and always will be FREE to the independent artist. So, submit away!

Interviews

In addition to the interview with Elly Kace that will be premiering on Thursday, there is are a couple more interviews that are being organized, with one maybe premiering by the end of the month? This artist is another FMOF favorite so you won’t want to miss it!

New Album

There was a slight decline in the production of Fifteen Minutes of Fame last month because I’ve been hard at work tying bows on my upcoming album, including working a couple of features in that were performed by FMOF alumni.

The album will be finished by the end of August!

I really cannot wait to share this with you. It has been quite the ride. As I announced earlier this month, it will be released on vinyl, as well as a digital release. You will be able to find pre order info here. In the meantime, here is the album cover:

This was from a picture that was taken while my wife and I were on vacation in Montana, a trip that changed our lives. The back of the album jacket will have a photograph that was taken by my wife and will include track listings and credits.

Final Thoughts

If there’s one thing I’ve learned while doing this over the last year, it’s this: in order to do this properly, I have to allow myself to be stretched pretty thin. Every month, something seems to always slip through the cracks. July, I just couldn’t get it together on social media. I hardly posted. Some months, reviews and Blind Reactions run short. Some months, I’m stealing away from other priorities.
