Part Two: The First Video Blog by Fifteen Minutes of Fame
I am so pumped that this is out in the world right now! This was so fun to make. To listen to and react to the music. To talk about it, and give an opportunity for all to hear it while sharing my thoughts. Admittedly, this is very much still in beta and it’s a little disorganized, but this is out there in the world now. This is another way that I can help promote the music of independent artists.
We have now heard 6 of the songs for Elly Kace’s upcoming album, Seventh Gate. To this point, the album has exhibited smooth transitions from song to song, and they all have a cohesiveness that proves they belong together. Check out this video where I listen, share thoughts, and highlight my favorite moments within each song.
Part One: The Special Feature Interview
About the Artist
If you have been reading Fifteen Minutes of Fame reviews, you know the name Elly Kace. If you have not been reading Fifteen Minutes of Fame reviews, shame on you. And allow me to introduce you to Elly Kace.
It was a little over one year ago, I lived in a world where Elly’s music didn’t exist. My first campaign changed everything. I was so excited to start listening to music and see how submissions would come in. I figured there would be a lot of comments and links. I did not expect too many people to reach out and request an early press release. For the most part, it was comments and DM’s with a link to Spotify. Elly also left a comment, but she wanted to know if I could do an advance write up. So, we exchanged emails and then, I opened her submission.
My first thought: I’m in over my head.

I didn’t expect people to take me seriously. Her EPK was insanely good. It immediately got imposter syndrome. I felt like she thought she was getting a reputable press release and I had written one review in my life. Fuck my life!
Then, I started listening to if i ask enough could you love me. It would end and I would start it again. I listened to it over and over and over. The anxiety of “performing” melted away and I couldn’t stop writing. I knew that her story was one that just had to be told and that it was imperative to put her music in front of listeners.

Elly, an accomplished opera singer, a sound healer, a yoga instructor, and a shining member of the LGBTQIA+ community, has made such a name for herself, that she has made two names for herself. As Elly Kace, the baroque pop innovator who has tasked herself with the invention of-not just a new sound, but a new genre. She is also Elyse Kakacek, a world- renowned opera singer who has been openly reviewed by major publications like Chicago Critic, Operawire, and more.
Last year, she masterfully promoted the release of her 5-song EP, if i ask enough could you love me, and it received considerable success for an independent artist 100% doing this on her own. She played a number of live shows, was streamed tens of thousands of times, and even charted on a college music chart!
In December, I caught up with her again and did a quick Q&A to see what she was up to, which was where we heard for the first time that Elly was releasing a brand new album.

Well, I am so pleased to say the time has come. Not only have we got our first glimpse of this new album, we have actually received the first 3!
About the Album
Seventh Gate will be the third studio album of independent, NY artist, Elly Kace. It will be a 10 song LP, of which we now how 3 songs available to hear. On June 11th, lead single Lisianthuses released. On July 10th, the “haunting” Even with the Lights on released. And now, on August 9th, the third single The Body debuted.

To me, this album feels like growth. Where if i ask enough could you love me felt experimental, unique, and risk-taking, Seventh Gate envelops all of the same wonderful music but it’s channeled. It’s not trying to focus, it’s not making it a point to be focused; it is focused.
First the sound blast of Lisianthuses, in the very introduction of the song just sets a remarkable tone. That song just left me swirling the first time I heard it and I haven’t stopped yet.
Even with the Light on is particularly special to me, as she brings the energy in, not down. I really love how her voice goes into a different place in the chorus, as she reminds me of Dolores O’Riordan as she sings out “Miss you when you’re gone,” to open the chorus. So much, I almost believe it’s her.

Now, with The Body, we have a third song that keeps the energy and lets it out. It’s really amazing how the tempos of the three songs are steady. They may actually be quite close to being the same, if not the same. But one feels like a sort of anthemic power-ballad. One feels like a proper slow ballad. And then we have an upbeat motivational tune that makes us want to get up and get going!
Three songs in and already so much to break down and enjoy. Believe me when I say it just keeps getting bigger and better! We will be tracking Elly all the way to release day in March 2026, so make sure to follow along! With each part of this review, there will be a special feature. Part One is of course the interview. Without giving too much up about Part Two, I’ll just throw one hint out there: live interaction streaming.
What are you waiting for? Go feed the body, stretch the body, sleep the body, sex the body, and most importantly HEAR The Body which is NOW STREAMING everywhere!
