Darling, he doesn’t care, Cover Art

~ About the Artist ~

Back in January, Fifteen Minutes of Fame received a submission from an artist out of Stoke-on-Trent, in the UK. I heard Click by Olivia Miceli and practically stopped what I was doing then and there to start writing a review about this artist. Click has such a cleverness about it. It is very much a traditional pop song, more than capable of holding its own in today’s mainstream radio play. As good as it is musically though, it is a standout song with regards to the lyrical composition.

Miceli debuted in 2021 with the song Fake. She released her debut album, Road Signs in December of 2022. In 2023, she released her sophomore album, Nostalgic Heartbreak. Since the latter, Miceli has released a number of sequels up to January, with the release of Click.

Miceli epitomizes what being an independent artist means. She writes, performs, records, engineers, produces, and masters all of her releases. This is very impressive, considering how great of a product she distributes consistently.

~ About the Song ~

Darling, he doesn’t care is the second released single by Olivia Miceli in 2025. Performed, produced, and mastered all by Miceli, it released on August 15th. Darling, he doesn’t care has a run time of around two and a half minutes.

~ About the Music ~

As with Click, the production value of Darling, he doesn’t care is simply fantastic, excluding the fact that this is entirely self-produced. As the song opens, it has a sort of Pacific beat with very airy synths. As the melody progresses, the beat grows more complex, and a bass part is incorporated broadening the melodic and percussive performances.

Miceli’s vocal part is a combination of beautiful melody, catchy cadences, both paired with complex lyrical performances woven into the cadences of her performance. Even though she is very clearly singing, there are moments that have a rap element to them as she delivers line after line.

Darling, he doesn’t care plays as it continues a build to the end of the song. It’s pleasant sound and catchy beat make it easy listening and one that any listener won’t be able resisting tapping their foot to. As the summer is winding down, it is the perfect track to enjoy the remaining days of the season.

~ Final Thoughts ~

Olivia Miceli doesn’t miss with her songwriting, performance, and production quality. She has so much potential as a performer, I would love to see her in a live setting to see how she performs in front of an audience. I can’t presume that is her goal. Not every musician wants to perform. Miceli is gifted on so many levels, I could see her succeeding as a songwriter and/or a producer as well.

I don’t know what Miceli’s hopes to achieve are with music. I simply know what I hear and what I hear is a talented musician who is capable of achieving whatever she wishes. My hope is that I can expect new music by Olivia Miceli to present itself from time to time because it is absolutely worth listening to.

Don’t take my word for it, go press play.
