Fifteen Minutes of Fame has been one of the great joys of my life over the last two years. Getting to hear a vast collection of music from hundreds of musicians worldwide is nothing short of incredible.

One of my biggest challenges regarding FMOF is the fact that I am only one person and I don’t get to feature as many releases as I would like to. Balancing the schedule of my personal life, my professional life, and this platform can sometimes limit the amount of publications I am able to release every month.

FMOF is also committed to relevance. Reviews and articles have always been at the forefront of what this platform is about but even still, it is important to ensure the content that we are publishing is of interest to the readers and subscribers who are looking for the artists we have represented on our platform. It is in this interest that we have added social media campaigns, Blind Reaction Music Video Reviews, Interviews, and most recently, the partnered launch of the Fifteen Minutes in the Necco Chamber podcast that is cohosted by myself and Daniel Grigson of Necco Records.

As exciting as all of this is, the unfortunate thing is still the fact that sometimes, I see and hear content I want to feature but can’t. This is something I regret. Lately, I’ve been thinking of ways of how I can go back and feature some of these artists and some of this music. One way has been to modify the Spotlights articles to focus on the artist themselves rather than their releases.

So, today, that is what I am going to do. I am going to celebrate some the artists who I’ve wanted to cover releases for but didn’t get to over the last couple of months.

Jasmine Catherine

Smoke & Mirrors – April 10th, 2026

Jasmine Catherine is an independent recording artist out of the UK. She is known for blending her love for music with the theater and storytelling. This blend results in a music style that is fantasy, cinematically, and orchestrally influenced.

Catherine is a classically trained musician with a background in musical theater. She also self-identifies as a lifelong bookworm and “Disney devotee.” These inspirations often led to daydreaming of mystical places and characters and her musical background would provide the soundtrack for these themes.

Catherine often features music videos with her releases that visually represent the inspirations for the songs. Her music videos have been subject to FMOF Blind Reactions.

On April 10th, Jasmine Catherine released her latest single, Smoke & Mirrors. At just over four and a half minutes, Smoke & Mirrors is a dazzling ballad that offers a solemn progression in the melody of verse before bringing in an uplifting element in the chorus. Instrumentally, the accompaniment is primarily piano with synth strings supporting. Catherine offers her voice in both lead performance, as well as layered backing vocals. The overall track adds to the element of fantasy through heavy reverb throughout.

Chloe Star

I don’t talk very often about this but wanted to bring this up today because of how exciting these upcoming releases are. FMOF often partner with independent PR groups like Get Louder, Tallulah PR, and more. These independent management companies are so impactful to the potential success of rising talents associated with the music industry. The right promotion, organized press releases, and proper guidance can help get independent artists on the right path to discovery. In this case, Tallulah PR have an incredible lineup of very talented artists who all have some very promising recent and upcoming releases.

So is the case with Chloe Star, an LA-based alt-pop rising star. Both her Indigenous and Persian heritage have inspired a diverse and unique artistry that make her a dynamic musician. Her unique diversity is also what drives her to advocate for marginalized voices.

Star debuted in 2023. In 2024, she released her debut EP, the bed i lie in, featuring 5 songs running at 15 minutes. The bed i lie in is led by the single Wasted Youth, which has earned more than 200,000 streams on Spotify since debuting in 2024.

The following year, Star released her second EP, Apt. 1101. This EP was also 5 songs and runs at 12 minute, approximately. Apt. 1101 didn’t feature any singles prior to releasing, but lead song Bad Habit has earned 60,000 streams in less than a year.

2026 has proven to be a very busy year for Star as she wrapped US and UK tours in 2025 that vastly expanded her audience. In addition to having already released 4 singles this year, she has also announced a London show at the end of May, as well as two shows in LA on June 5th and June 6th; the 5th being at the legendary Viper Room.

you say – April 24th, 2026

Chloe Star’s most recent release, you say, is a rock-infused alt-pop heavy hitter that runs at around two minutes and fifteen seconds and wastes no time with subtlety. It is upbeat, driving, and captivating.

“I wrote this for anyone who’s ever been ghosted, left on read, or promised ‘I’m on the way’ by someone who never shows up.” Chloe Star, via press release

You say is the perfect rock song that captures that moment “when anger gives way to clarity.” (press release). Check out you say right here:

Here is the official music video of another recent release of Star’s, Call You Back.

I will be sharing more of these incredible artists throughout the month. Make sure you go press play!
