After reemerging with their first release in seven years this March, with Witness to Everything, Black Hats are following it up with another single.

The Oxford-based indie pop rock band are built around solid groove patterns, distinct vocals, and a genre-bending style that fuses reggae, punk, and 90’s indie rock, similar to 311.

Black Hats recently played their last show of 2026, with a show at Tap Social Movement, and are preparing for upcoming shows at the start of 2027.

Not With Another

Not With Another is the second release by Oxford-based indie band, Black Hats, in 2026. It runs at 4 minutes and released on October 15th. Not With Another is an independent release by Black Hats.

Not With Another boldly goes in the direction so many of us can’t bring ourselves to go. Finding themselves in the moment when they realize they’re in a doomed relationship, how many of us try to stick it out and find some way back to happiness? Black Hats offer an alternative solution: why not pump the breaks instead?

Not With Another cycles through some extraordinary musical moments with changing rhythmic dynamics, a bass line that doesn’t quit, nostalgic vocals, and bright, shimmering guitar riffs that bust the sound space wide open.

This is an extraordinary sound and an empowering story presented in a manner that anyone can get down to.
