A few months ago, I covered AiramFM’s release of The Imposter, a synth heavy ballad that gives a vibe that makes it a perfect fit for Baz Luhrman’s The Great Gatsby movie soundtrack. On September 28th, AiramFM released an orchestral version.

The Imposter (Orchestral Version) is a remixed version of AiramFM’s previously released song, The Imposter. Releasing on September 28th, it runs at 3 and a half minutes.

AiramFM’s music focuses primarily on airy, ambient ballads that strike emotional tones with her audience. This cut of The Imposter, has the same tempo as the original but the change in the arrangement definitely gives it a different feel. The synth strings feature more movement than the synths from the original track and the melody has more of a romantic atmosphere to it. Not to say the song is a romantic song. Instrumentally, it does feel more romantic, more vulnerable, and more intimate than it did before though.
